Information for Students
Books, journal articles, audiovisual materials, pamphlets, and exams are placed in the library's reserve collection at the beginning of each semester. The Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library maintains this reserve collection to ensure the availability of these highly utilized materials and supplementary readings for GWU Medical Center courses. Only GWUMC faculty and/or teaching staff may place materials on course reserve. The print and audiovisual reserve collection is located behind the Library's main Circulation Desk.
All reserve materials are available only to GWU Medical Center students, faculty, and staff. Access to reserve items is by call number which may be found by using the reserve desk option in Himmelfarb Library's Online Catalog. Select "Reserves" for print materials or "AV Reserve" for audiovisual items.
Please Note: All photocopies of journal articles/book chapters are delivered to the library by Faculty and/or their staff. Himmelfarb Library cannot accept responsibility for the quality of reprints provided through the Reserves Service.
