How can I find books on my topic?

To search the library's electronic book collection, click on the link to "e-texts" on the library homepage. From this page, you have several options:

  • Browse the A to Z list of book titles.
  • Click on the "Subject Listing" link to view books by subject area.
  • Search all of the e-text collections using the search box.
  • Search by individual e-text collection Clicking on the "I" information button will provide more information about the collection.

To search the library's print and electronic collection, click on the link to the Library Catalog on the library homepage. Enter your search terms into the box, and use the drop down box to specify if you are searching for keywords, a specific book title, or a subject area. In your search results, you can see more information about a particular item by clicking on the "Details" box. This information will include the number of copies the library owns, as well as the availability of the book.

Can I borrow books from Himmelfarb's print collection? Is there a fee?
