Group Study Rooms Policy
Most Group Study Rooms in the Himmelfarb Library are available on a first-come, first- served basis. However, rooms 204A through 204J on the second floor can be reserved Monday through Friday between the hours of 4pm and 12 midnight and on weekends from 9am through 12 midnight. Requests for these study rooms can be made either at the Circulation Desk or by calling 202-994-2962. Laptops and portable LCD projectors may be checked out as available through Classroom Services in person or by calling (202)994-2856. The following guidelines apply to group study rooms:
- Rooms must be reserved at least 1 day in advance.
- Rooms can be reserved for groups of 3 or more students.
- Rooms may be reserved for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Students are expected to be in their group study room during the times reserved.
- Students who leave a room empty for more than 15 minutes may forfeit use of that room.
- Do not leave your belongings unattended. They should not be used to hold a room and they may be stolen.
- Be considerate of others. Limit noise. Limit food and drink. Clean up after yourselves.
- Please be courteous in asking others to vacate your room during your reserved time. Bring any questions to the Circulation Desk.
