Himmelfarb Document Services

Himmelfarb Document Services provides delivery of photocopies/PDF of library materials or books from the collection to GWUMC faculty, students and staff for a fee. Once a request is submitted, staff will retrieve and/or photocopy the requested material (provided there is no violation of copyright laws).

Services Description
Regular Document Delivery Requests for up to 5 articles with delivery within 48 hrs. Off-Site requests may take longer.
Rush Service $10.00 per article surcharge (additional $4.00 for Faxing). Delivery time of less than 24 hours
Book Delivery Request books from the Himmelfarb collection. Additional shipping charges may apply. Circulation overdue policies are in effect.

Payment and Obtaining Your Request

You can make payments in person by cash, check, or credit card (for charges over $5.00). Departmental accounts can be billed if the department has authorization to charge Document Services fees. Documents/books may be picked up at the Circulation Desk, e-mailed, mailed, sent to a campus address or faxed. Please designate your preferred payment method in the Documents2Go System when submitting your request.

*MFA Staff requires prior authorization when charging to their department. Fax authorization letter to the ILL Department: 202-994-4343.

Document services are subsidized by the George Washington University Medical Center (GWUMC) for faculty, students and staff. This service may be provided to people not affiliated with GWUMC at non-subsidized rates. Please contact the Interlibrary Loan Department for details.
