The research part of the program constitutes, hands-on experience in wet labs located at any of the participating institutions. Principal investigators are responsible for mentoring their students and overseeing their progress. It is highly recommended that students in the biology track (thesis) program have at least one first-author manuscript prior to their graduation. The same manuscript can be used for preparation of a short thesis. Students in the non-thesis degree program have the option of three or more practicum rotations in the participating institutions.
